Hello!! First I want to introduce myself, my name is Tonya and welcome to my website. I am the owner of Sweetly Serene Designs, a mother of three, dog mom of two, Educational Assistant, Child & Youth Worker and mental health advocate for 10+ years.

For as long as I can remember I loved crafting and using my creativity to make handmade items. As a teenager it began with scrapbooking, which lead to crafting huge baby books when my kids were born. From there I self taught myself how to crochet, where I would spend hours creating beautiful hats, scarves & necks warmers for family & friends. Eventually I entered into “the business world” and started doing markets and selling my items in person. However I decided it was a LOT of labor, for little reward. To this day I give so much love/support to my fellow crochet/knitting friends!

The story of Sweetly Serene Designs began in 2018 while I was on maternity leave and I decided to try making cute clothing for my kids. It was not long before I was making shirts for friends and family. What started as a hobby quickly became a dream. Living in a growing community that is booming with small business success, I craved that. I worked endlessly to perfect my products, made mistakes and learned how to fix them. I continued to venture out of my comfort zone and test out new products like coffee mugs, tumblers, bags, etc. In December 2020 we became an official business and launched our website.
